France: 1.57% increase in motorway towing rates

LDM, The Towing Magazine reminds us that only professionals approved by the public authorities can intervene on motorways and expressways. This is why their rates are set by a decree of the French Ministry of the Economy each year.
From January 1, 2026, the flat rate for on-site roadside assistance for a vehicle weighing 0 to 3.499 t will increase from €148.67 to €151,00.
The price of towing a vehicle with a GVW between 0 and 1.8 t increases from €148.67 to €151.
The price of towing a vehicle with a GVW between 1.8 t and 3.499 t increases from €183.83 to €186,72.
All these prices are increased by 50% between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. on weekdays as well as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (regardless of the time of call).
Please note that from 3.5 t GVW and above, the pricing is at the discretion of the towing company. The intervention is considered as a HD Vehicle towing.
